This is not merely another article about how our lifestyle has a negative impact on our health. Nor is it designed to make us feel guilty or scared, it is in fact an awakening. When you think of a comeback you think of the return of your favourite ‘90’s band or a much-loved fashion item, but there is nothing pleasurable about the return of some of the grizzliest diseases that once plagued mankind.

We are reliant on doctors, scientists, health professionals and medical equipment specialists such as Brosch Direct to help us keep illnesses at bay, and for the most part they have done just that… until now. Diseases are becoming immune to modern treatments, which poses a massive threat to all of us. Gone are the days where the common cold and seasonal flu are plighting our health and instead we are facing bouts of Scarlet Fever and Rickets.

Science changes. A lot. And the make up of these illnesses are changing at much the same rate, meaning modern medicine is battling to keep up and because some of these diseases were close to being completely wiped out our knowledge of them is limited. Modern science and medicine is therefore at a loss as to how to deal with something they have no in experience dealing with.

Many medical experts claim that the way we live, our diet and the general attitude towards health has prompted the return of debilitating diseases. As a generation there is more chance we would eat a cheeseburger over a piece of fruit or sit in front of the television rather than hit the gym. This general unhealthy approach to life has begun to take its toll and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

The increase in rich fatty foods, the love of alcohol and a distinct lack of exercise leave us highly susceptible to a range of serious illnesses. This combined with the current lack of cures means we are in a bit of trouble!

In the last two years for example, there have been a reported 300 cases of Polio, despite a vaccination being on offer. Many are ignoring the need for vaccinations causing a higher number of people to contract the illness and those who have been vaccinated are not protected against the new strain of the disease, consequently the number of sufferers is growing rapidly.

Such serious health matters only result in one thing, the need to dramatically improve our own health. Putting down the burgers and picking up a carrot is the first place to start. As it stands, we have no way of fighting off the returns so need to prepare our bodies as much as possible, should the unfortunate happen. We also need to pray that medical experts come through and save us once again!
