Vegan diet has gained popularity in the recent past as a preventive measure of terminal illness, immune booster, and perfect weight loss mechanism. This was different a couple of years ago when vegetarians were considered as weak and it was felt that they would not be able to sustain active lifestyles like sports and workouts in the gym. Today veganism has become more desirable to several people including celebrities who have joined to get the benefits.   2. Weight Loss: Planning your meal with a myriad of fresh vegetable, legumes, whole grain and fruits enables you to lose and manage your weight easily. Vegan diet further improves your cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure. The basic principle in weight loss is to reduce the foods that are high in fat and low in fiber. The fear that veganism leads to low energy is a myth. Adequate consumption of varied legumes, grains and healthy carbohydrates like quinoa, and unprocessed oat produces twice the energy that will enable you to attend the gym or take part in other activities till evening without experiencing any form of exhaustion.
