Do you Suffer from Baldness? Find Solution

Baldness is a common problem among males. Baldness is also called alopecia in medical terms, which is lack or absence of hair where it is normally present, e.g. head. The thickness of hairs is highest in head. The commonest form of alopecia is progressive loss of hair from head which is termed “male pattern of baldness” or androgenic alopecia that occurs in adult males only (and generally not in females) and estimated to be more than 95% of all cases of alopecia or baldness.

It is estimated that in United States alone there are more than 40 million adult males with male pattern of baldness, which is more than 10% of total population of United States and much greater percentage of adult male population. The incidence in other countries may be different due to different genetic (genetics is the main cause of baldness and environmental factors generally do not play any role or may play only a minor role) setup of the population. Finding an appropriate solution for baldness in men may not be an easy job and you may need to search extensively for that.

Treatment of androgenic alopecia is not easy and if you are suffering from male pattern of baldness, which you want to cure, you might be a frustrated person. This is due to the fact that, the most of the available form of treatments are less than acceptably effective in treating androgenic alopecia and also have potentially major side effects. At present USFDA approved medications for treatment of androgenic alopecia are Propecia and Rogaine. Propecia is an oral drug that acts by reducing production of Dihydro-Testosterone (DHT), a hormone. Rogaine is a topical solution and applied locally, which acts by stimulating hair follicles, which keep the hair follicles in growth phase. But both the medications have side effects which may not be acceptable to many men with male pattern of baldness.
